Tips For Your Wedding
There’s something beautifully gritty and wildly romantic about the West Bottoms in Kansas City. It’s one of my favorite locations for engagement sessions because it combines vintage industrial charm with rich textures, historic buildings, and that dreamy golden light that seems to hit just right between the aged brick and rusted fire escapes.
For Ryan & Brianna, this spot wasn’t just a backdrop—it reflected a piece of their story. We started the session wandering through the cobblestone alleys, letting the rhythm of their relationship lead us. No forced poses, no awkward setups—just two people, deeply in love, exploring the city that shaped their relationship.
The West Bottoms offers a blend of contrast: soft moments in a bold setting. There’s something poetic about capturing tender hand squeezes and quiet laughs against gritty warehouse walls. We even stumbled upon a tucked-away vintage car that looked like it came straight out of a 1940s film scene. They leaned in for a kiss, wrapped in sunlight, and I couldn’t help but think how moments like this are why I love what I do.
If you’re considering an engagement session in the Kansas City area and want something a little unexpected and full of character, the West Bottoms might be the perfect fit. It’s timeless, artistic, and—most importantly—it lets your love take center stage.
